  20. Well, VIScorp seem to be interested in getting their set top boxes launched
  21. *AND* developing the Amiga.  We can expect PowerAmiga's buy the end of this
  22. year.  This machine will compete with amd outperform anything in it's
  23. catagory, by a long way.  The OS will be PowerPC native by ~Aug '96.  One of
  24. the first in fact.  Copeland will not be released until early '97!  Windoze
  25. '95 is just a poor hack and looks like MacOS '89!

  27. Basically, the Amiga looks like it come storming back to the marketplace.
  28. More and more people are now waking up to the fact that M$ products are crap
  29. and they are getting disgruntled with PC's.  A lot of people are worried by
  30. Apples financial troubles at the moment also.  So it seems that maybe, the
  31. PowerAmiga release will be at a time when the consumer base are looking for
  32. something new!

  34. Who knows!  It's far to hard to say anything definite at this time!

  36. BTW - Would you buy a PPCP compliant machine with an Amiga label on it?  Take
  37. into account the expandability options this will allow!  Just wondering!

  39. Personally, I think that VIScorp will carry on the development.  They'd be
  40. crazy not to because they own the best, most efficient OS in the home market,
  41. bar *none*.

  43. As for software - there is plenty of quality software on the Amiga.  It also
  44. provides a platform that is not overrun by M$, Clarris, etc. products.
  45. Variety is the spice of life!
